Solitude is often confused with loneliness, but there is a notable difference between the two.
Loneliness is unpleasant , it comes with a load of emotional aspects like self-doubt and self – questioning, whereas solitude simply means being alone.
In our busy culture it is relatively rare for people to be comfortable with solitude, but once a person discovers it , they grow into it and it can be an antidote to loneliness.
